A2 Course work- Music video

For our A2 course work we were given the choice to create a music video or a movie trailer individually or in groups. Charlotte, Luis and I decided to go in a group and decided to make a music video.

For this we are to create a promotion package for the release of an album, to include a music promo video together with two of the three options:
-a website homepage for the band
-a album cover
-a magazine advertisement.

We will be creating the music video as a group, but for the two options we choose, we are to create them on our own, but come up rough ideas as a group.

For the preparation of our music video, in class as a group we came up with different song ideas that we wouldn’t mind using for our music video and have jotted them down on a big piece of paper. In the image below are the ideas we have come up with. The writing in the colour yellow is my ideas, the green colour is charlottes ideas and the black colour is Luis’s ideas.

After jotting our ideas down we have tried to narrow down our ideas to what one we like the best. In the image below is the list of ideas we have narrowed down our ideas to.

From this list we created a new list to decide upon by narrowing down our ideas again to a final decision. We have done this by voting on the songs we like the best. The image below shows our final choices.


In the end we chose the song by Jimmy Eat World - The Middle as we all like the song.

In order to create this music videoo we will need to get permission from the band- Jimmey eat world.
